Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Bucur in the 4th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Gigel Bucur put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Gigel Bucur tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigel Bucur. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigel Bucur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. When Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Toronto Marlies FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tracy Narcisse took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Gigel Bucur got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gigel Bucur sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. If Gigel Bucur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tracy Narcisse was slow to take the kick. During this time Toronto Marlies FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Toronto Marlies FC's Tracy Narcisse to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toronto Marlies FC's Tracy Narcisse got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 32 minutes of play, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 37 minutes, Gigel Bucur made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Gigel Bucur dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 7-0. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Gigel Bucur scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 8-0.

Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Bucur in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Gigel Bucur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. After 57 minutes of play, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Bucur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigel Bucur scored 11-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gigel Bucur went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 12-0 was the resulting score. Toronto Marlies FC made a substitution. Noel Hamlin replaced Fatsali Bedirhan. After 71 minutes of play, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Efrain Moruga with Eliseo Noboa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Gigel Bucur might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gigel Bucur ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Bucur came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Gigel Bucur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gigel Bucur might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gigel Bucur ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Bucur in the 80th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toronto Marlies FC's Tracy Narcisse couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Costa Rica. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Tracy Narcisse missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 86 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Benito Sanz right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Bucur in the 87th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Gigel Bucur made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. Gigel Bucur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 15-0. When the referee ended the match the Toronto Marlies FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
