In the 16th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cârju to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Broderick Ceney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney managed to reach the ball for a save. Broderick Ceney made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. After 61 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
