In the 21st minute, Rodriguinho Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natã Siqueira hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Natã Siqueira in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Ergo Muro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abram Sarmiento went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ergo Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Joshua Garrido got a free kick in the 45th minute. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Caatiba MZC's Rodriguinho Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 57 minutes, Rodriguinho Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caatiba MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ergo Muro came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Abram Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 65th minute of the match. Ergo Muro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ergo Muro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ergo Muro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Ergo Muro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 78th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 85th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Colombia's Abram Secada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ergo Muro. Ergo Muro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
