Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristiano Correia started the match with the kick off. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Ioan Voicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 4th minute of the match. Ioan Voicu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Mexico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Atlético Temperley:s goal. In the 14th minute, Rolando Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Villerias kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Correia in the 22nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 28th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Voicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Laurendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 41 played minutes Club Atlético Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Laurendi. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Temperley getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Hector Fernandez hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Voicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. Club Atlético Temperley's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Ioan Voicu, making the score, 0-2. Club Atlético Temperley's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Luca Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Ioan Voicu, making the score, 0-3. After having played for 93 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atlético Temperley.
