Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Ermegildo Giro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kajetan Ochabski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kajetan Ochabski. FC Ferrauda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. FC Ferrauda's Kajetan Ochabski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Macos Graciani hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ermegildo Giro made the kick off in the second half. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Cristiano Messi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ferrauda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lautaro Mancebo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Ferrauda's Kajetan Ochabski did a great save. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Giro in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play forced FC Ferrauda's goalkeeper Kajetan Ochabski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Cristiano Messi notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Ferrauda made a substitution. Fernan Tajo replaced Miguel Ángel Russo.
