In the 21st minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Niklas Ekeberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niklas Ekeberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ahmed Ouadah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Edgar Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Ekeberg in the 39th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Åström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

In the 51st minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Luca Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgar Åström. That made the score 0-1 after 53 minutes of play. With 57 minutes on the clock, Felix Luque commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexico! 69 minutes into the match, The Swedish Nightmare's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Edgar Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes, Hjalmar Backlund made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Swedish Nightmare made a substitution. Jorginho Meirelles replaced Hjalmar Backlund. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Meirelles in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Meirelles in the 81st minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Meirelles in the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, The Swedish Nightmare's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Edgar Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 played minutes The Swedish Nightmare got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Zajac. When the referee blew the final whistle, The Swedish Nightmare could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
