The crowd rose to their feet as Gyál United's Walmir Breckenfeld slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Walmir Breckenfeld took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Gyál United's Zoltán Varga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 25th minute. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Horaţiu Petran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Konstantinos Kroustallis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horaţiu Petran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zoltán Varga in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Breckenfeld in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes, Walmir Breckenfeld made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Zoltán Varga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. The Gyál United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
