Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Sociedad Anónima's Marino Malet started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan. But to his dismay, Velasco Rollan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velasco Rollan in the 8th minute of the match. Dawid Klocko's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dawid Klocko helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Sociedad Anónima got a freekick which was hit by Dawid Klocko. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the match, Velasco Rollan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Velasco Rollan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Velasco Rollan scored 4-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Marino Malet scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Velasco Rollan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sociedad Anónima's supporters rose to their feet, but Velasco Rollan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Velasco Rollan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38thth minute of the game Velasco Rollan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Velasco Rollan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Velasco Rollan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After 42 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Niva Bruna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Velasco Rollan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Bruna in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Sociedad Anónima's Marino Malet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Velasco Rollan took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. 63 minutes into the match, Velasco Rollan notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marino Malet in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velasco Rollan in the 69th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Velasco Rollan notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velasco Rollan in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Velasco Rollan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Velasco Rollan took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 14-0. In the 84th minute Felix Larren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Velasco Rollan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Velasco Rollan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. 90 minutes into the match, Velasco Rollan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Velasco Rollan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 15-0. Velasco Rollan scored 16-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sociedad Anónima walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
