Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Olimpia HSB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fabian Czeszejko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Fabian Czeszejko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Fabian Czeszejko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabian Czeszejko really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Czeszejko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benito Sanz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fabian Czeszejko might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabian Czeszejko ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Fabian Czeszejko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabian Czeszejko really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. Tolek Kiszkiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0. 43 minutes into the game, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fabian Czeszejko made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Fabian Czeszejko sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. 57 minutes into the game, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Fabian Czeszejko took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. In the 63rd minute, Fabian Czeszejko made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. After having played for 67 minutes, Fernando Morientes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpia HSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Morientes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute Fabian Czeszejko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olimpia HSB's Zbyszko Skorny was substituted for Artur Walczak. After 79 minutes of play, Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Olimpia HSB fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 14-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Jacek Pietrowiak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Jacek Pietrowiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacek Pietrowiak in the 89th minute of play. After 91 minutes, Hugo Ferrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Olimpia HSB players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Jacek Pietrowiak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Pietrowiak in the 93rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Jacek Pietrowiak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Olimpia HSB players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
