TurboUC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Villa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Ángel Riesco. After a rather tough play, TurboUC's John Snow got a free kick in the 14th minute. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thomas Lawrie was slow to take the kick. During this time TurboUC's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Juan Eduardo Atenas drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Honduras's goalkeeper. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Miguel Ángel Riesco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Ángel Riesco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 24 minute of play. TurboUC's Orlín Rozas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Miguel Ángel Riesco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Orlín Rozas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Miguel Ángel Riesco took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. TurboUC's Podador Escudero was substituted for Dušan Tadić. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salomón Avendaño was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Riesco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomón Avendaño in the 75th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Ángel Riesco in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ángel Riesco in the 82nd minute of the match. If Miguel Ángel Riesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Ángel Riesco's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salomón Avendaño in the 91st minute of play. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ángel Riesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. Miguel Ángel Riesco struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TurboUC.
