That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. The supporters of Ñacuñán AC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Lipp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Fero in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Ñacuñán AC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Raul Lipp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 16th minute. When Leonardo Leoz fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Leonardo Leoz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Raul Lipp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benicio Otoniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Benicio Otoniel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 2-1 in the 28 minute of play. Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Benicio Otoniel scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 3-1. In the 36th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 minutes, Elpidio Presebal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ñacuñán AC and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of play forced Ñacuñán AC's goalkeeper Raul Lipp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ñacuñán AC's Elpidio Presebal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 43rd minute of play forced Ñacuñán AC's goalkeeper Raul Lipp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ñacuñán AC's Elpidio Presebal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Luque in the 47 minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Ñacuñán AC's Cosme Lauaxeta was substituted for Luis Bartoleme. The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 57th minute of play forced Ñacuñán AC's goalkeeper Raul Lipp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Ekain in the 65th minute of the match. With his leg Raul Lipp managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ñacuñán AC made a substitution. Santos Cayo replaced Hector Fero. Raul Lipp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Leonardo Leoz got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Raul Lipp, 3-3. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Lipp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benicio Otoniel struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ñacuñán AC. Despite being the better team, Mexico failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
