Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Gianfranco Saron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianfranco Saron. Gianfranco Saron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gianfranco Saron scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Pepito Saron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valle Saron fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Saron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 31st minute of play forced Valle Saron's goalkeeper Emiliano Saron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Manzanedo made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Valle Saron's Gringo Saron. After a rather tough play, Chile's Jose Manzanedo got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Gianfranco Saron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valle Saron's supporters rose to their feet, but Gianfranco Saron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes Valle Saron got a freekick which was hit by Gartxot Cerredo. In the 45th minute, Joakim Back got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gianfranco Saron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepito Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Emiliano Saron in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Emiliano Saron made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Valle Saron's Arí Saron was substituted for Gianfranco Saron. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valle Saron's goalkeeper Emiliano Saron, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arí Saron in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Emiliano Saron in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valle Saron's Emiliano Saron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 74th minute of play. Emiliano Saron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Arí Saron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Emiliano Saron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joshua Saron took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Arí Saron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Valle Saron booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodri Saron struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valle Saron. Valle Saron's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
