The supporters of Litoral EC - CIMZ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Joseph Joestar got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Joestar in the 30th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Joestar in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Jonathan Petri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Litoral EC - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Petri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Litoral EC - CIMZ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Petri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Joseph Joestar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
