The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Jereba 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Sabóia. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Geovani Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jereba 4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovani Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maicon Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jereba 4EVER's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Percy de Barros in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 16th minute of play forced Jereba 4EVER's goalkeeper Maicon Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With an all-out effort, Jereba 4EVER's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geovani Sanches, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Maicon Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 24th minute of the match. Maicon Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jereba 4EVER's Sandrinho Sabóia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felix Montenegro, made in the 45th minute of the game. In the 47th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maicon Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Geovani Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maicon Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Geovani Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jereba 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Sanches was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Sanches in the 65th minute of play. In the 73rd minute Geovani Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Geovani Sanches got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Geovani Sanches put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. In the 82nd minute of the match Jereba 4EVER got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rafinha Cearense ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Jereba 4EVER's corner Geovani Sanches fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Jereba 4EVER's Maicon Trevisan got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Jereba 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Sanches to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Jereba 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Rafinha Cearense. When the referee blew the final whistle, Jereba 4EVER could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
