Juli Alvarez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Juli Alvarez took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 11th minute of play forced Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Thibaut Vandamme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juli Alvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thibaut Vandamme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Thibaut Vandamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 33rd minute of play. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Thibaut Vandamme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thibaut Vandamme. The Berenjenas de Punto Fijo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thibaut Vandamme should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Abram Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Thibaut Vandamme. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd play minute Abram Sarmiento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Thibaut Vandamme. 2-3. If Juli Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juli Alvarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Alvaro Ramiréz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Ramiréz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thibaut Vandamme was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Juli Alvarez came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juli Alvarez couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Thibaut Vandamme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of Berenjenas de Punto Fijo booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Domuță in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Codruț Domuță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-4. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieter Denys in the 81st minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Domuță in the 83rd minute of the match. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Alfredo Miliano got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 5-4. 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Berenjenas de Punto Fijo booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codruț Domuță went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-4 was the resulting score. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colombia for a fine match.
