Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Golob in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Edmundo Espiga hit a great ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 16 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tom Rheistein who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt-Rune Rolfsson got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. After 23rd play minutes Rafael van der Vaart shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Lautaro Navarro and just under the crossbar into goal. When Bengt-Rune Rolfsson came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Glasston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Rune Rolfsson couldn't finish the play. Rafael van der Vaarts short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Lautaro Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 29 minutes into the game, Rafael van der Vaart cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 34th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Mete Golob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 39th minute. Rafael van der Vaart had several of the Honduras's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Lautaro Navarro as he didn't even see the shot coming. The Glasston fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lautaro Navarro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aron Warren. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. Tom Rheistein made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bengt-Rune Rolfsson immediately put the ball in play. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jagger Trevena in the 57 minute of the game. 59 minutes into the game, Jagger Trevena threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 60 minutes into the match, Mete Golob had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mete Golob was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Milagros Cabal's late challenge caught a Glasston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milagros Cabal helped the player get up and apologised. If Mete Golob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Bengt-Rune Rolfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlton Convine quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 74 minutes into the match, Rafael van der Vaart notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jagger Trevena made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Rafael van der Vaart notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 85 minutes into the match, Bengt-Rune Rolfsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Mete Golob kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot.
