The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Glasston booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. Bengt-Rune Rolfsson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 58 minutes of play Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Carlton Convine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 96th minute of play. Thomas Grandison struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasston.
