A well done corner resulted in Zlatan Molina drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Venezuela's goalkeeper. Enrique Cassaretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Cassaretto got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 14th minute of play. When Enrique Cassaretto came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the CD Municipal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Cassaretto couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Enrique Cassaretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Enrique Cassaretto came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the CD Municipal fans jumped to their feet. After having played for 59 minutes, Enrique Cassaretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Municipal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Cassaretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CD Municipal's Peter Haber was substituted for Tulio Andinyach. CD Municipal made a substitution. Oalo Dean replaced Zlatan Molina. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 63rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oalo Dean in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 65th minute. Peter Haber kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oalo Dean in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Haber came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CD Municipal walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
