The corner led Club Atletico Los Andes's Maximo Florian to fire away a dangerous shot which Camilo Freixa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 19th minute Kévin Zenón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kévin Zenón who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Camilo Freixa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Alfredo Ferrant struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Donato Calvet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. In the 81st minute, Alfonso de la Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Bolivia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atletico Los Andes.
