In the 22nd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Dziedelonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes Zuberbühler FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Peru's Eliseo Mina getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Baumer came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Marciano Min sent off a good shot on target. Napoleon Dziedelonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Napoleon Dziedelonis came out of the goal and Luz Tejedor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Milagros Fraga made a precise shot to the right of Napoleon Dziedelonis. Zuberbühler FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saul Baumer to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Alvarado. Cirilo Ebardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Zuberbühler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Fința to maneuver through the defense. Zuberbühler FC made a substitution. Florentino Lastur replaced Cirilo Ebardo. Zuberbühler FC's Jonathan Iruinea was substituted for Marciano Min. A collision led to Zuberbühler FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tiberiu Fința hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Napoleon Dziedelonis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Napoleon Dziedelonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 65th minute of the match. Napoleon Dziedelonis was a little too slow when Milagros Fraga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 2-5. 94 minutes into the game, Jonathan Iruinea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
