When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Umberto Peres put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Demonde Jacobson. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Giovanni da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Dênis Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demonde Jacobson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute, Umberto Peres made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-1. After 73 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Umberto Peres made it 10-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demonde Jacobson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Demonde Jacobson came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Goiás Esporte Clube's Marcus Diniz. But to his dismay, Marcus Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-1. In the 82nd minute, Oswaldo Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-1. In the 88th minute Valdir Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natanael Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finlay Stair in the 91st minute of the match. Goiás Esporte Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
