Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Artigas's Furtado Codina. Furtado Codina was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnin Sanches in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Artigas were awarded a corner. Valentin Monteagudo went to the cornerflag to take it. Artigas's Valentin Monteagudo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Leocadio Teja sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Leocadio Teja sent off a good shot on target. Leocadio Tejas short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Fidalgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Artigas's Leocadio Teja made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Florentino Fidalgo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Furtado Codina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Leocadio Teja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Artigas were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valentin Monteagudo took the corner. In the 43rd minute Inocencio Celino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leocadio Teja in the 45th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leocadio Teja came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benito Sanz could save by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Artigas made a substitution. Lia Engraba replaced Leocadio Teja. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Lia Engraba notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lia Engraba in the 55th minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lia Engraba in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Artigas were awarded a corner. Valentin Monteagudo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Valentin Monteagudo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz did a great save. Axel Tasis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Furtado Codina firmly grabbed it by the left post. Efrain Moruga made in the 64th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliseo Noboa however managed to control. If Lia Engraba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute Lia Engraba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Lia Engraba came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lia Engraba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lia Engraba's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Lia Engraba sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. When Sadurni Nadal came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Artigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sadurni Nadal couldn't finish the play. Sadurni Nadal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Lia Engraba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lia Engraba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. 87 minutes into the match, Artigas's Lia Engraba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lia Engraba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lia Engraba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes, Lia Engraba made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Artigas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
