Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Florentino Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 4th minute. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Florentino Herauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by M. Agus Young. Florentino Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Louis hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Pascal Som hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Florentino Herauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute of the match Santa Lucia de Merlo got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnaldo Chano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Mexico booed when Santa Lucia de Merlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Cubero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that M. Agus Young's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when M. Agus Young stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Chano. Florentino Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Florentino Herauso made a huge save. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros was substituted for M. Agus Young. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Levan Poggenborg was substituted for Ermegildo Salamon. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Florentino Herauso firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 68th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 69th minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when Santa Lucia de Merlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bosse Spendrup didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Levan Poggenborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Florentino Herauso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 88 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. In the 89th minute Polo Quinteros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santa Lucia de Merlo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
