The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Svante Magnusson's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wiktor Askelöf received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Wiktor Askelöf slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svante Magnusson in the 35th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Hartmann Futebol Clube's Svante Magnusson made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Faas Romário hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 47th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 59th minute, Dolfo Marcos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson Oliveira skillfully saved the ball. Jefferson Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 64th minute of play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Hartmann Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Jefferson Oliveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 69th minute Svante Magnusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. 73 minutes into the match, Svante Magnusson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Hartmann Futebol Clube's Wiktor Askelöf. But to his dismay, Wiktor Askelöf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Dolfo Marcos made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Zeus Müller. In the 80th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillermo Mariano made in the 81st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tomas Illescas however managed to control. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svante Magnusson in the 83rd minute of the match. Wiktor Askelöf struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hartmann Futebol Clube. Wiktor Askelöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The supporters of Hartmann Futebol Clube booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Dolfo Marcos with Faas Romário as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Askelöf in the 95th minute of play. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
