Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dave Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of the match. If Nestor Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of the match. Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Dave Clemente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Natalucci in the 52nd minute of play. Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Glasgow Rangers FC from getting a goal against them. After 54th play minutes Cristian Sancho shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Dave Clemente and just under the crossbar into goal. Ettore Placidi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Nestor Lauaxeta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glasgow Rangers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ettore Placidi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Dave Clemente in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ettore Placidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antonio Riccitelli hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Ettore Placidi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ettore Placidi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Placidi in the 95th minute of play. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
