Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Claudio Quiroga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Varas in the 6th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Quiroga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 3-0 in the 20 minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Quiroga in the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Claudio Quiroga notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Varas in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Monitor Huáscar's Artemio Varas in the 41st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Lautaro Navarro was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Honduras through an amazing save. 44 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Quiroga came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ivan Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Ivan Navarro a yellow card for diving instead. Claudio Quiroga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 49thth minute, Lautaro Navarro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Claudio Quiroga made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Paulo Fallabes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. It was beautiful to see Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in action when he in the 57th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Monitor Huáscar's Nazario Arechavala was substituted for Johnny Nyström. 60 minutes into the game, Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Ivan Navarro made in the 64th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sebastian Villa. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Paulo Fallabes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Claudio Quiroga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Quiroga during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Claudio Quiroga hit a great ball. The long shot by Esteban Carvallo in the 75th minute really tested Apostol Sokolov's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Claudio Quiroga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monitor Huáscar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Quiroga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Claudio Quiroga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Claudio Quiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Claudio Quiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulo Fallabes was slow to take the kick. During this time Monitor Huáscar's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Paulo Fallabes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro did a great save. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga in the 89th minute of play. Bernardinho Bala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monitor Huáscar's Bernardinho Bala quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivan Navarro, made in the 93rd minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, Claudio Quiroga notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Quiroga went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Monitor Huáscar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
