In the 24th minute Witomir Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júbilo Iwata were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Wengeln SA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedé de Castro took the corner. The audience was convinced that Ivan Xabier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugeniusz Piesciuk was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugeniusz Piesciuk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the match, Wengeln SA's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Mangueira came free, but Eugeniusz Piesciuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tytus Indyk made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Júbilo Iwata's Jerônimo Mangueira made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugeniusz Piesciuk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eugeniusz Piesciuk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerônimo Mangueira in the 54th minute. In the 55th match minute, Wengeln SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Klawke to maneuver through the defense. Eugeniusz Piesciuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Xabier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
