The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Sedgman in the 11th minute of play forced Real Makeni's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Baroudi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neville Snabl kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Alvin Marsland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Sad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lowrey Quinnell took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdelhamid Baroudi. Abdelhamid Baroudi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 24th minute, Iggi Lord hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cudgee's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Ahmed Sad scored to the left of an out of position Alvin Marsland, making the score, 2-2. Alvin Marsland made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Khalida Meriem sent off a good shot on target. When Cudgee's Ian Sedgman in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Makeni's goalie prevented a goal. If Ahmed Sad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Real Makeni got a freekick which was hit by Kamel Douibi. If Lowrey Quinnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Real Makeni getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Kamel Douibi hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Ian Sedgman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdelhamid Baroudi. Real Makeni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian Sedgman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmed Sad made a kick off. After 58 minutes, Case Scalzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cudgee and the Real Makeni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cudgee's Case Scalzo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Khalida Meriem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alvin Marsland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Khalida Meriem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Marsland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Mohamed Feraoun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelhamid Baroudi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lowrey Quinnell in the 68th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Khalida Meriem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvin Marsland was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lowrey Quinnell in the 77th minute of play forced Real Makeni's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Baroudi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Ahmed Sad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Marsland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 played minutes Real Makeni got a freekick which was hit by Zīn ud-Dīn Ramdane. Conner Wright's shot from long distance in the 94th minute was not bad at all, but Real Makeni's Abdelhamid Baroudi knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Abdelhamid Baroudi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ian Sedgman went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
