In the 21st match minute, real fortaleza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, real fortaleza's Osmar Neto got control of the ball when Abdelkader Zidane tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Abdelhamid Moussa in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by real fortaleza's Tony Netto. The supporters of Roseira EC booed when real fortaleza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Roseira EC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Noureddine Belhadj hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in real fortaleza's zone, Salah Chebal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar Neto came out of the goal and Salah Chebal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 44 played minutes real fortaleza got a freekick which was hit by Romeu de Queiroz. real fortaleza's Osmar Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save real fortaleza from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salah Chebal was the one to do the kick off. Tiaguinho Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Mouloud Mansouri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osmar Neto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelkader Zidane in the 55th minute of play forced real fortaleza's goalkeeper Osmar Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salah Chebal in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osmar Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Roseira EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafik Maillot should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the game, Roseira EC's Abdelkader Zidane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osmar Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Sílvio Luiz Amorim's late challenge caught a Roseira EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Luiz Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelkader Zidane in the 82nd minute of play forced real fortaleza's goalkeeper Osmar Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Salah Chebal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2.
