Blitzkrieg FC's Cesar Sabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Mangueira in the 5th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Adrian Socorro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blitzkrieg FC and the Júbilo Iwata players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Blitzkrieg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Socorro to maneuver through the defense. Chico Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sandro de Barros's late challenge caught a Blitzkrieg FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerônimo Mangueira was the one to do the kick off.
