The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alvin Marsland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Gustavo Domingues went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 8th minute, Ian Sedgman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jaime Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvin Marsland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Gustavo Domingues went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jaime Trevisan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvin Marsland having to make a save. Luiz Gustavo Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Rafa Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorian de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braedan Franklin in the 28th minute of play. Lowrey Quinnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguayana SS's goalkeeper Dorian de Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Uruguayana SS's goalkeeper Dorian de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Sedgman. After some careless play in the Uruguayana SS defense, Braedan Franklin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorian de Lima. The Uruguayana SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorian de Lima should have stopped the shot. If Luiz Gustavo Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian de Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Sedgman in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguayana SS's zone, Lowrey Quinnell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorian de Lima came out of the goal and Lowrey Quinnell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Domingues in the 46th minute of play forced Cudgee's goalkeeper Alvin Marsland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Gustavo Domingues was the one to do the kick off. Dorian de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Byrne Gillingwater in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Ian Sedgman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorian de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lowrey Quinnell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cudgee! Albertinho Vieira shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Sedgman in the 69th minute of play forced Uruguayana SS's goalkeeper Dorian de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Uruguayana SS getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rafa Donato hit a great ball. Ian Sedgman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dorian de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Luís Paulo Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvin Marsland having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Lowrey Quinnell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cudgee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 92nd minute, Albertinho Vieira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvin Marsland was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. A collision led to Uruguayana SS getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Rafa Donato hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
