In the 25th match minute, real fortaleza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar Terra to maneuver through the defense. Tayeb Belfaa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Tayeb Belfaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Belmellat in the 40th minute of play forced real fortaleza's goalkeeper Osmar Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osmar Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tayeb Belfaa in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamel Douibi in the 44th minute of play forced real fortaleza's goalkeeper Osmar Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tayeb Belfaa to make the kick off. real fortaleza's Tony Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marcinho Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ramón Corrêa fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored real fortaleza's protests and gave Ramón Corrêa a yellow card for diving instead. Ramón Corrêa hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Ahmed Sad came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Osmar Neto could save by the left post. The supporters of Real Makeni booed when real fortaleza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cheb Nabil struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Osmar Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Makeni. Ahmed Sad received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Osmar Neto came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmed Sad slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 84th minute. Romeu de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelhamid Baroudi having to interfere. real fortaleza's Osmar Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save real fortaleza from getting a goal against them.
