Ahmed Sad did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Todd Dempsey 19 minutes into the match. Ahmed Sad took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Todd Dempsey. Todd Dempsey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Tayeb Belfaa might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Todd Dempsey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tayeb Belfaa ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, Brigid Savic had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdelhamid Baroudi. Real Makeni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brigid Savic was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tayeb Belfaa to strike the kick off in the second half. Abdelhamid Baroudi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brigid Savic in the 51st minute. Todd Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Sad in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Ballintogher booed when Real Makeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Sad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes, Bearnad Doyle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballintogher and the Real Makeni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Ballintogher got a freekick which was hit by Bearnad Doyle. After 64 played minutes Ballintogher got a freekick which was hit by Bearnad Doyle. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Brigid Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballintogher's supporters rose to their feet, but Brigid Savic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdelhamid Baroudi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abdelhamid Baroudi was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Bearnad Doyle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bearnad Doyle really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Todd Dempsey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tayeb Belfaa's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Ahmed Sad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Todd Dempsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tayeb Belfaa in the 82nd minute of play forced Ballintogher's goalkeeper Todd Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmed Sad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd Dempsey having to interfere. Tayeb Belfaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Todd Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Abdelhamid Baroudi managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Ballintogher's Brigid Savic fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 91st minute, one of Ballintogher:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballintogher. If Ahmed Sad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
