After a rather tough play, Jagiellonia Denver's Ricardo Gareca got a free kick in the 38th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Florence Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michal Majdoch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. Rudolf Garreau made in the 47th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nicolae Costa immediately put the ball in play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Čačak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Michal Majdoch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Nicolae Costa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 60th minute, Esteban Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Ricardo Gareca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Eric Gary in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Donatello in the 65th minute of play. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Espiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Gary having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Sebastian Villa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jagiellonia Denver's Venceslas Borizar was substituted for Viorel Olaru. Jagiellonia Denver's 林邦瑜 was substituted for Ricardo Gareca. Per-Olof Åkesson kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Jagiellonia Denver's Michal Majdoch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Eric Gary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jagiellonia Denver.
