With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Maximino Lope tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximino Lope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximino Lope in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven Thorsberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Sven Thorsberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Ternby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Ternby in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Mastache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Zonta saved El retorno del Pincha from getting behind. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El retorno del Pincha's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Colombia booed when El retorno del Pincha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Tristezza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes El retorno del Pincha got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Tristezza. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Maximino Lope made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Lope in the 51st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, El retorno del Pincha's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but André Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after El retorno del Pincha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. The corner led to Colombia's Luis Cazalla getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Colombia's Abram Secada looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Abram Secada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Zonta having to make a save. El retorno del Pincha's André Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save El retorno del Pincha from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, El retorno del Pincha's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but André Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Zonta was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Abram Secada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Secada really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The supporters of Colombia booed when El retorno del Pincha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Crispo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Colombia's André Zonta threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignacio Mastache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Inautzi in the 91st minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Ternby, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
