Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Peter Björkman kicked off to start the match. Alex Isaksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Isaksson ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the game, Peter Björkman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Peter Björkman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Björkman in the 18th minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Löv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When FC Blueskatterna's Peter Björkman in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 34th minute, FC Blueskatterna's Kevin Fagrell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrik Löv got free with Benito Sanz in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Alex Isaksson came free in front of goal and shot 6-0 to the left of him in the 43 minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute Henrik Löv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 51 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Fagrell came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrik Löv kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Kevin Fagrell took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Falkrans in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Peter Björkman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Kevin Fagrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. FC Blueskatterna's Östen Wik was substituted for Joachim Bergman. Peter Björkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Kevin Fagrell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Blueskatterna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 75 minutes into the game, FC Blueskatterna's Kevin Fagrell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. FC Blueskatterna were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrik Löv took the corner. Henrik Löv made a great header on FC Blueskatterna's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Björkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 82nd play minutes Henrik Löv shot 11-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Jens-Ola Haegg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Isaksson scored 12-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Peter Björkman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. In the 92nd minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Peter Björkman made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. FC Blueskatterna's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
