The audience was convinced that 刘飞翔's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. If 刘飞翔 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 刘飞翔 in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Costa Rica were furious when Alexander Carballo was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 31st minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Costa Rica:s Benito Sanz showed great skill when he stopped 刘飞翔:s penalty. In the 33rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 刘飞翔 in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Domenico Marongiu was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s İrfan Okyay getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Noboa made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, 刘飞翔 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s supporters crossed their fingers, but 刘飞翔 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 刘飞翔 went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
