Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Onofre in the 35th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, 巩彬树 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. 袁锋康 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play. 周南建 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to ◇Mz.梦◆广州增城足球精英俱乐部队 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hieronim Zdeb hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 84th minute 周南建 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ◇Mz.梦◆广州增城足球精英俱乐部队 booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball.
