Bernard Sierocki took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 10th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Bem Bom in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina. In the 17th minute, Luís Paulo Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Bernard Sierocki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo da Floresta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernard Sierocki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Luís Paulo Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the São Paulo da Floresta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Paulo Linhares couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute of the game Bem Bom made a throw-in which Luís Paulo Linhares played forward. Teodoro Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Sierocki in the 36th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Paulo Linhares in the 41st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernard Sierocki to make the kick off. If Luís Paulo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Luís Paulo Linhares notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Teodoro Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Linhares in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Linhares in the 70th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When São Paulo da Floresta's Luís Paulo Linhares in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 92nd minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teodoro Jacinto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. São Paulo da Floresta had won after a very even match.
