Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 7 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dario Ruy went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 10 minutes into the game, Erasmo Ferran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ArrancaCerebroS AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Lautaro Puig scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bartlomiej Zuraw, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Gerardo Francesco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of ArrancaCerebroS AFC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, ArrancaCerebroS AFC's Dario Ruy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet as ArrancaCerebroS AFC's Dario Ruy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 5-1 after 31 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dario Ruy in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. ArrancaCerebroS AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
