The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Sarmiento got free with Urbano Faro in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 84th minute. When Lisandro Lain fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Napoleón 2018's protests and gave Lisandro Lain a yellow card for diving instead. Lisandro Lain kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Panama supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Panama would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
