A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Niklas Lundqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niklas Lundqvist was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Holmgren in the 51st minute of play. With a little luck, The Shadows's Marcos Basso got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Herbert Holmgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Niklas Lundqvist put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The The Shadows fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when The Shadows's Niklas Lundqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
