Cipriano Proença showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Tigre das Américas's Cipriano Proença got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Cipriano Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Proença in the 25th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 43 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Proença's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Cipriano Proença might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Proença ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Cipriano Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tigre das Américas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Cipriano Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cipriano Proença took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Cipriano Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Alcocer got free with Gualter Pinheiro in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, Cipriano Proença had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Proença was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 79 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's Cipriano Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Proença went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Cipriano Proença took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. Cipriano Proença blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tigre das Américas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
