Fredrik Terwenhout had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Sean Van Dijck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Limburg United booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Terwenhout who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Fredrik Terwenhout notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th match minute, Limburg United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joris De Raeve to maneuver through the defense. If Fredrik Terwenhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Terwenhout in the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Anios Karaoulanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Limburg United's Fredrik Terwenhout made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Limburg United's Sean Van Dijck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Van Dijck having to interfere. Joris De Raeve could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. When Emanuel Coekelbergh came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Limburg United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Coekelbergh couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brend Vanden Driessche, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joris De Raeve.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Fredrik Terwenhout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Fredrik Terwenhout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Alex Chicote quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emanuel Coekelbergh, made in the 62nd minute of the game. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Fredrik Terwenhout came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Limburg United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Terwenhout couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Limburg United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sean Van Dijck was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 88th minute of the match Emanuel Coekelbergh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. When Limburg United's Fredrik Terwenhout in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Limburg United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
