Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Xu Yun Quan got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xu Yun Quan in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 3rdth minute of the game Xu Yun Quan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Felder came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Beldad during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 29th minute, Kerry Sellers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 30 in the game by Xu Yun Quan from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes, Xu Yun Quan made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melvin Ruffin hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Farid Mondragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the game, Claudio Marangoni landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Alberto Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Xu Yun Quan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xu Yun Quan in the 51st minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan in the 53rd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xu Yun Quan in the 61st minute of the match. C. A. Independiente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eric Snowden in the 62nd minute. With an all-out effort, Uruguay's Farid Mondragón threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximiliano Escribano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 70thth minute of the game Xu Yun Quan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Mondragón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erberk Müftüoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Farid Mondragón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Kerry Sellers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Yun Quan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xu Yun Quan in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Felder in the 86th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xu Yun Quan went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. C. A. Independiente had won after a very even match.
