Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Xu Yun Quan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Xu Yun Quan hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Farid Mondragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Yun Quan got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Kerry Sellers notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Kerry Sellers sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla was a little too slow when Xu Yun Quan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. 29 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Yun Quan came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Felder might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Felder ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the game, Xu Yun Quan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Kerry Sellers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Snowden came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Felder in the 46th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Alfredo Felder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Xu Yun Quan put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 58th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Alfredo Felder. But to his dismay, Alfredo Felder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xu Yun Quan in the 63rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 64th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Yun Quan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eric Snowden was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Independiente's players had a chance to rest. 69 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Felder came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Alfredo Felder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Xu Yun Quan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Felder in the 88th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 92nd minute of play. There was no doubt that C. A. Independiente were the better team. C. A. Independiente's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
