Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilson Arósio came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 18th minute of play. Baldomiro Txindoki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Orçun Yalınalp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomiro Txindoki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Arósio scored 3-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Iulian Pietreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 55th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baldomiro Txindoki. The goal made the score 4-1. In the 58th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute Wilson Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orçun Yalınalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 77th minute of the match.
