Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Charles de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Fesik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Otto Fesik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-0. Charles de Brito came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Maurinho Penha sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 32nd minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Charles de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Otto Fesik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlético Capixaba's Douglas Medeiros got a free kick in the 37th minute. Charles de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Cauan Botelho kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 40thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Mexico's keeper Dante Lacasa was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 56th minute, Vítor-Borba Xerifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles de Brito made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Atlético Capixaba's Fu Jun Feng was substituted for Marian Witkowski. In the 64th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Atlético Capixaba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Fonseca in the 65th minute of the match. Charles de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 70th minute of play. Cauan Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felippe Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Charles de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Charles de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 91st minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Capixaba's Charles de Brito did a great save. Matthías Oliveira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 95 minutes into the match. After 96 played minutes Atlético Capixaba got a freekick which was hit by Matthías Oliveira. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atlético Capixaba. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Capixaba.
