Christian Maurins short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Christian Maurin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Laurin in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
