The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Alexandros Krieser got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luiz Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the ROSÁRIO SPORT defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Corrêa. The ROSÁRIO SPORT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Corrêa should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 65th minute, Sten Andrejević got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to ROSÁRIO SPORT getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Martin Bautista hit a great ball. With a little luck, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line.
